A terrific herd of dairy goats peacefully reside on our twenty eight acre, partially wooded, farm located near the banks of the Sebasticook River and in the shadow of Saint Albans Mountain in beautiful Saint Albans Maine.

Our assorted registered, dairy goats, Alpines, Sables, Toggenburgs, Oberhaslis, Saanans and Nubians, are raised to provide breeding stock, and dairy products of exceptional quality.

After raising Registered White Angora Goats since 1989, we sadly sold our herd in April 2007.  It was quite a decision to make, but in order to devote more time to our other goats and our new enterprise cheese making and becoming a licensed raw dairy, we realized that the Angoras were a little too work intensive and time consuming.

Another change took place in November of 2009.  We sold our herd of wonderful Boer goats.  This was such a difficult decision, but the dairy part of our business has become not only very work intensive but, very profitable also.

Walter.

Jessa is over run with little ones, but she sure is enjoying it!

Brandon and Walter.  Love at first sight!

Sparrow's little boy is such a darling!

Julia has quite an arm load!

There is one in every crowd! Here's Clara looking like, well, looking like Clara!

Spring 2010 Goat School

It rained, it was cold, it was windy, but lots and lots of very good natured guests had the time of their lives anyway!  What fun we all had.

Is this the cutest photo or what?  Alessia and Mini Winnie are getting acquainted.

Little Hope just loves babies!

Sarah doesn't care if Superman is chewing on her finger!

I have so many "favorite goats" but this one folks, is truly my all time favorite darling.  This is Caribbean (I call her Beaner), she is a six year old Nubian, and has the sweetest disposition of any goat I have ever met!

See!  I told you she was a sweetheart!  She is just loving Brandon's attention and his kisses!

Walter and Minnie Winnie are out for a walk in their winter coats.

Jessa demonstrates milking at Goat School.  Jetta, one of our pretty Alpines, doesn't seem to mind the audience.

Squiggy (front) with his new buddies at his new home in Vermont!

Squiggy is a wonderful little guy and we hated to see him go, but obviously he's happy with his new family!

A warm fall afternoon and a good cud, what more could you want?  Sparrow is a very pretty Toggenburg.

Winnie (Wenonah) is a beautiful 2 year old French Alpine.  What a cutie!!

WE MADE THE COVER!

March/April 2004 issue of the "Boer Goat", the official magazine of the American Boer Goat Association.

This is the first time that any goat from the Northeast has EVER been featured in such a prominent way.

Stony Knolls Farm  is committed to providing our customers the widest choices possible in blood lines.  We are constantly in contact with breeders throughout the United States so as not to perpetuate static bloodlines in the State of Maine.  It is through this commitment that we are able to offer animals from such breeders as Don Smith, Downen Livestock,   Thomas Farms, E.G.G.S.,   Landcorp Farming, and Buck-N-Bull Farm to name just a few.

We work hard avoiding stagnation and interbreeding in our herd and in our customers herds!

Another cover girl!  Our Button is on the February 2007 edition of Meat Goat Monthly, plus there is a great article about our farm and Goat School!

And, yet another cover girl!!! Twinkle made the cover of the February 2009 Goat Rancher magazine!

The funny part about this is that Twinkle is Button's (above) sister!

The November/December 2009 issue of Hobby Farms was such a great surprise to us!  We knew they were going to do an article, but we never expected one of this magnitude!  We were thrilled!

THANK YOU HOBBY FARMS!!
